I'm having a hard time unclogging my black ink cartridge. Would it hurt to dip the end of the cartridge in some warm water and pat it dry. It's just an idea because I don't want to buy a new cartridge, it has too much ink left! Thanks!
Water is probably a bad idea. Use denatured alcohol on a cotton swab.
Warning - Alcohol can be bad for plastic or rubber parts but some places suggest it. Windex is another suggested solvent.
What kind of printer are you using?
It could be the print nozzles that are clogged, not the ink cartridge.
There is a site called fixyourownprinter that has a lot of useful information about how to solve problems. I have an Epson C82 that has a hose that comes off that causes the printer to act like it has clogged nozzles because it prevents cleaning.
You can also buy cleaning solution for your print head that comes with a syringe to help you unclog the nozzles.
denatured alcohol....I know there is such a thing, but that just cracks me up.
denatured alcohol....sounds like something a pervert would give you to get you drunk.
