Here I go again... More of Mr Wolf's fathers stuff...
any who..
we found some old class maps that used to hang on the wall and pull down like a shade..
age at about 1943
..ehh..
How in the WORLD do I look these up for resale?
I have tried diffrent combinations with the words-
class map
shade style hanging map
maps 1948
class hanging map
.. tell me there is a word for these that I just dont know??
( im off to host some pictures to post.. )
This more then likely will stretch the screen... I apologize
but it helps so that people can see the details on these.
They are REALLLLLLY cool! and in great shape..
I just dont know how to look them up.. ?
I know someone that recently purchased a map similar to that for a video set of a 1940's classroom. It cost about $40 at an antique store.
Ebay presently has 3 "vintage classroom pull down map"s at about $30 each.
ebay map search
It's so odd how people value things. Maps are beautiful to me... how can one of those be $30. and
such crappola worth more?
Excuse me, rhetorical question. I know about the market..
You should SEE these osso.
They ar beautiful.
He has some in other languages and one I think I may put up either really high in Jillians room, or keep for our own home.
They are beautiful and in almost perfect condition.
The only issues the one pictured has is that on the left hand corner at the very bottom, about 4 inches of the map has come out of the wood that is the anchor and the "pully" part.
No wear and tear, No fading of colors, no holes.
They are beautiful.
I checked ebay after posting here and I see some of the ones you are talking about there.
This one is similar, so I am going to assume that is the ball park, as I have not found anything else.
so, i guess a good key word would be 'pull down map'?
( off to try it )
