You to uncle and watch out for the hariy krishnas, and thing1 and thing 2 have been reported to be on the loose in your region of the country side.
They have been known to follow the orders of a tall cat with a suspicious looking hat. They may or may not be chasing after a credenza Laughing Laughing They could be in a pink chapo
They have been reported to like green eggs and ham for food.
These characters often frequent childrens schools, and have also been known to be found lying around houses. Very Happy Laughing
Please watch your step when you enter the house, esspecialy if you have young kids. Razz

I still hope that your father pulls through, or that it's fast and he doesn't suffer.
Thanks bigred, but he is not going to pull through. He is now on a ventilator and he isn't going to make it. I know a family should not fight at a time like this. I don't agree with what my brothers and sisters have decided. My dad is still aware of what is going on. I want to tell him the truth and they don't. My mom is in denial. I don't have the answers. I just feel my dad should know. I feel he has a right to know.

Don't let the others in your family persuad your true feelings TTH.
You do what you feel that you must. It's more important that he knows the truth then keeping it from him. I would hate it if someone kept it from me on my death bed. Crying or Very sad If the others in your family don't have the cahones, then maybe your the one to show them the way despite thier obvious anger, should you tell him.

My Godmother just passed away last year, she knew what was comming and it's god the my godfather was thier for her to tell her that he loved her. He let her know whn it was just the two of them together. But I do think that she already knew. Idea

Thanks bigred,
I think my dad knows. The problem is that shortly he will be so sedated he won't be aware of what is going on. He does not have a health directive and my brother has POA. I want my dad to have the right to make the decision on when to take him off life support as opposed to my mom or brother. The consensus was that we all decide "when it is time", except for me of course. I did not agree to this.

The only thing keeping him alive at this point is the ventilator. I have to get to the hospital so I am going to make one more post.

Yeah, I miss all of the regulars. Right now it's me, Red and TTH. Ox stops by evenings and weekends but by then everyone else has left. He and I usually trade e-mails during the day when things slow down at work.

Hi
I received a gift in the mail from Marlboro. The gift is to go to the racetrack in my area and "RIDE SHOTGUN WITH PRO DRIVERS IN 2 INCREDIBLE CARS ON 2 INTENSE TRACKS".

The cars used are a Mustang Coupe for drifting and a Panoz GTS for the road course. It takes 1/2 day and food is provided afterwards. I can invite 1 guest. Marlboro is paying for everything and the approx. retail value is $540.00.

I would have been thrilled to get this since I don't drive high speed race courses. In light of what is going on with my dad though, I really don't care about this gift.

Their mailing says it is their way of saying "thanks". I read that and thought, thanks for what? I have no idea why I got this. Did any of you get something like this?

I was only going to tell my dad if he got better he could come home, but if things got worse, I wanted to ask him what his wishes were. Now it is too late. My brothers made sure of that.

They did one other thing and I will never forgive them for that. My dad told me where he wanted to be buried and I gave that information to my brothers. When I got to the hospital yesterday they already made funeral arrangements somewhere else. I couldn't believe it. I know why though. It is because that is where they plan to be buried and their spouses families are buried there. I am so hurt and angry right now.

If they aren't even going to honor his last wishes then that is extremely low of them Sad Shocked at their ignorance
