Why should the EU not just print euro's

I await the US Mint out-sourcing the printing of the Dollar to China.

Why should they? I don't see any positive effect of them increasing currency availability either.

Salaries would stay the same in real terms, and not choke off exports. And printing euro's would add to the treasury, and could be used to prefund social security for instance.
