I can't remember the movie name i watched like four or five years ago

The movie is about a woman who gets rich by selling her paintings and books. She is a writer or artist (something like that). One day she buys her dream house (a ville) and lives there with her husband. There is a war and her husband decides to go to war. Some time passes and he won't come back. She thinks that he is dead. Finally this guy gets back with one leg and with lots of problems he finally kills himself. Some time passes and woman finds out that her husband has lived with another woman. Please help
