Prometheus and Blade Runner? #gasp

Rewatched Prometheus (2012) tonight. Afterwards, I went to check if there weren't any Easter Eggs (hidden virtual goodies) on the BluRay disc of the film. Stumbled onto the following enigma. In the article, the author speculated that this could bring on a possible link between the Prometheus sequel and the mysterious, long-awaited, highly anticipated sequel to the cult sci-fi masterpiece, Blade Runner (1983).

What do you think? Would you want two distinct classic worlds of science fiction to merge (sans the likely approval of Philip K. Rick) and share the same literary/cinematic universe? Or should they remain separated and distinct?

@tsarstepan,
I'd like to see them all joined . Star Wars, the Foundations Trilogy, Star Trek, Prometheus etc . More to discuss and argue about with other Scifi nuts .

@tsarstepan,
BTW: An much needed middle finger salute to my Kindle spellchecker for changing the last name of Philip K. Dick to Rick.

There's enough of Dick's work that's not been adapted to film as it is without crossovers. Ubik, The Three Stigmata Of Palmer Eldrich, and The Man In The High Castle are all screaming to be turned into films.

@tsarstepan,
Dick is such an ugly name . I agree with Kindle, Richard is much nicer . Very Happy

@tsarstepan,
Any association with Prometheus would diminish Blade Runner, so I would be against it.

@tsarstepan,
A part of me would truly like to see a combination creation of these two works. However, even as I ponder over the possibility of such; I'm hesitant for it to plod forth in that way, mostly due to my enjoyment of Blade Runner in its original format. Why mess with that masterpiece of near perfection?

@izzythepush,
Amazon is supposedly making or made a miniseries of The Man in the High Castle.

@tsarstepan,
Palmer Eldrich has long been a favourite of mine.
