Joel Grey, the father of Jennifer Grey, is the son of Mickey Katz. Anyone who is
familiar with the old Borscht Belt comics, (and is old enough,) will remember him.

Michael Tilson Thomas, the conductor, is the son of Boris Thomashefsky, a big star on the Yiddish stage in the early part of the last century.

In 1969 I was at a concert being conducted by William Steinberg at Carnegie Hall. He became ill, and the 24 year old Michael Tilson Thomas took his place.
