Gotta love long thread titles.

My wife's birthday is coming up and she wants a docking station for her ipod nano. It has to be able to charge the battery.

Any suggestions?

It's unclear what class of docking station you want, from a quick search you can get one that just charges the iPod for under $20 but do you also want it to have speakers to play music while docked?

If you just want to charge it, almost anything should work fine. Otherwise you can get an alarm clock dock that plays your music to wake you up, a juke box style that has speakers and fills a room....

Here are some options:

Universal dock from Apple

Here's one that is also a USB hub

What did YOU get?????

I'm bloody sure you did some research!!!!!!

I have checked in stores, and they have just shaken their heads sadly sadly re iPhone docks. It seemed insane to me, but I've not had time to challenge them!

I want GREAT speakers dammit!

No, I'd rather just control my whole library using the remote app and play it over better speakers myself.

I decided on one like this from BJ's. It was $49.99.

it's not a clock radio, but it's got an fm tuner, an auxiliary jack and a usb port that allows you to play media directly from a memory stick
