Compile your life's soundtrack iPod game....

Ladies and gentlemen, here is a very common and relatively simple forum game (if you are fortunate enough to have a decent sized digitalized music collection that is).
1. Open your digital music library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc...);
2. Put it on shuffle;
3. Press play;
4. For every category, type in the song and artist that's playing;
5. Go to a new category, press the next button to go to the next random song, type it under that category. Etc... until the categories are full (1 song per event category);
6. Cheating is frowned upon. Try and not skip songs if possible, that's the fun of this musical exercise, the whimsical outcome. Besides, you will find a lot of music can be strangley relevant to a lot of these categories even if at first glance they seem to conflict. I will make one concession. You will be allowed to veto at least one random song/category pairing.

Rolling Eyes Some people are so demanding! Sheesh!

@Robert Gentel,
Miles Davis - Venus de Milo would indeedie make a wonderful swan song to ones life.

Al Hirt - Green Hornet for the death scene?! Sounds like your life is going 60's B movie camp! Wink

@tsarstepan,
Or I'm going to die in a Kill Bill scene. The randomness made for weird matches, I would have preferred to select the songs.

@djjd62,
ha, any good falling in love song should contain the lyrics

"if it comes down to the drugs or you
baby, we're through."

Ok, here's a quick crack at selected songs.

Opening Credits: Edvard Grieg - In the Hall of the Mountain King (not a great choice, dunno what to put here)

First Day At School: Eminem - Lose yourself (my first day at school was a weird one where this was appropriate)
Falling In Love: Stan Getz & João Gilberto - Para Machucar Meu Coração
Breaking Up: Depends on the breakup for a rough one: Billie Holiday - Stormy Weather, Legião Urbana - Hoje a noite não tem luar or Areosmith - What it Takes or for an amicable one, like the one I'm having today, something like Stan Getz & João Gilberto - Just one of those things
Prom: Counting Crows - Mr Jones
Mental Breakdown: Nirvana - Pennyroyal Tea
Driving: Baden Powell - Samba Triste (his frenetic version, not the slow ones) or Infected Mushroom - Dancing with Kadafi or Tiesto - Adagio for Strings
Flashback: Anahata - Shakti
Getting back together: Blink-182 - I miss you
Wedding: Vivaldi - Four Seasons Winter Allegro non molto
Birth of Child: Bach - Cello Suite No. 1
Swan song: Stan Getz & João Gilberto - Aguas de Março
Death Scene: Bob Dylan - Forever Young or Samuel Barber - Adagio for Strings
Funeral song: Thelonious Monk - 'Round Midnight (would have been 2pac - Life goes on 10 years ago)
End Credits: Beethoven - 9th (same as first, not a great choice but just another of my favorites)

@tsarstepan,
I've seen Brazilian critics say it's Brazil's greatest song. I wouldn't argue. But that pair made a LOT of great stuff. Just about everything on their first album is top notch.
