Absolutely. And the two hated each other. Journalists of the time said that Joan Fontaine claimed it was due to the fact that when the older Olivia de Haviland had outgrown her clothes and it was time to hand them down to the younger Joan, she cut them up so Joan would have to sew them back together.

Wonder if they had home sewing machines back then?
