My oldest sisters belong different branches of Christianity. Paraphrasing, their discussion of religious differences goes about like this:

My church is good. Your church sucks.

MY church is good. YOUR church sucks

Your church sucks.

Your church sucks.

Yours.

Yours.

Well, I try to walk between, without taking sides. I wrote one sister a letter to tell her I don't single out just my sisters' religion to disbelieve; all churches are bogus.
Her reply: "You don't want Mom and (name of older brother) to just be dead, do you?"
The religious hit below the belt.

fealola, Yes, to Alaska. When I first saw him on the top deck, he had a cap on, but I was sure it was him. During the evening entertainment, I asked one of the boat's staff, and he confirmed it for me that he was on board. Early in the cruise, when we were in the dining room, and he was passing our table, I asked him if I could shake his hand, and he said yes. We learned from other passengers, that he often went to people's cabin during the cruise to join in a party. Later on in the cruise, my wife and I had a picture taken with him. It's now hanging in our family room next to our t.v.. Wink

I once knew a couple who nicknamed the husband's you-know-what Luigi. I thought that was cute. My guy has never had a nickname. I hope he doesn't feel left out.

Here's the guy. Looks like he was with Black Sabbath
only for a short time and capitalizes on that when
he's preaching.

It also strikes me as amusing how TV evangelism is trying to look like mainstream popular culture as far as its music is concerned. It is only a short time ago when they were condemning rock and roll as from the Devil. Now they eagerly adopt at least its outward stylistic aspects. Could it be so that their kids won't feel (like Amish kids) left out of the "fun" of mainstream culture?

I don't know..its still pretty laugahble. Remember "Stryper?" Now there's "Jars of Clay," and "Creed" neither of whom seem to have gotten the obituary for grunge. Rolling Eyes I have to wonder what the point is in being a "Christian Rocker." You can't get blasted, can't touch the groupies...why bother?

Never worked for a Christian Group but I put in some time as a roadie and soundman a few decdades back. One of the fringe benefits there is that anything that "Gets to the Band's Rooms" gets vetted through the roadies first. Twisted Evil
