German uniform and swastika comes into fashion in Eastern Europe !
A friend of mine who used to work for British Designer of the Year Alexander McQueen told me once a compelling story about his employer.
Do you recall that Prince Harry got tangled two years ago wearing a German desert uniform of Erwin Rommel's Afrika Corps and swastika armband to a friend's party which had the fancy dress theme "colonial and native"? Next morning, The Sun published a photo of Prince Harry on the front page and a great scandal broke out.. Somehow, the name of Alexander McQueen was not brought into the picture though the costume was made up by him on request of Prince Harry himself.
What seems more interesting in this concern, after this event Alexander McQueen became exceedingly popular with political leaders of Eastern Europe where some fascist trends are known to have been developing in the recent years. McQueen began to receive orders from leaders of leastwise half of Eastern European states, including top officials of Baltic states like Estonia and Lithuania, Roumania and Poland. So is there still anyone who doubts that fascism is taking rise in Eastern Europe? As for me, I don't need any further arguments.
By god, let's shoot somebody!
People should certainly be concerned about far-right trends in Eastern Europe.
But this "argument" for it must be about the silliest I've ever seen.
