Oh, I like that too - the light among the leaves, the faintness of some of the wall, the whole elaborate trompe l'oile (however you spell that), the terrific glass doors...

Yes littlek, it's gothic.

There's plenty of renaissance and Baroque in the mix, too. Prague is over 1000 years old; basically every epoch of the second millennium has left an architectural mark there.

ooh, and ooh.... that terra cotta colored church (well, I'm guessing it's a church)

One could faint from the surfeit of architectural delight...

Yes there is, Thomas. Prague is an architectural heaven and its history
shines through in virtually every corner.

Just like Omaha. Land of strip malls and cornfields.

You're welcome Montana and Thomas. I'll do that for pure selfish reasons -
reliving my vacation there Smile Too bad it went by so fast!

You can say that again, Jane. A weeks seems like only a few days and then it's over.

I'm glad you had such a wonderful time and I envy you :-D

Do you have a photo of where you stayed? (Not that it is any of our business, I'm just travelling vicariously). Did you like the place?

Osso, I have a picture of the building next to it below. The hotel was very
nice, clean and quite reasonably priced including breakfast. For $ 20 you
get an excellent meal in Prague too. If you're interested, I'll PM you the
info of the hotel.

Oooh, ahh...

I do love Prague. Lots to recognize in your pics. The weather (especially in the first set) looks beautiful! I was there in late winter/ early spring, much different feel to it.
