I just spent a week on Whidbey Island, WA. There were bald eagles everywhere. You would look out the window in the morning, and see one or two just sitting on a fence post, or tree stump. It was amazing to see them up close like that.

I am really glad our state took an active role in keeping these birds (golden eagle also if I am correct).
It is great to hear about their recovery. They are still protected though Very Happy

Whidbey Island - gosh I was there once by private boat but due to being shy I never got off the boat. It was
the start of a 17 day San Juan Island trip with approx. 30+ boats. Embarrassed I finally got off the boat on day 3. Laughing

I just saw gustavratzenhofer crawl out of the barn own hole.

He had some feathers and a small claw sticking out of his mouth.

Shocked

Nope, I just spied on them (owls & eagles) and they are there. Actually I watched the mother eagle swoop
in the nest (to feed the baby?) and now she is sitting in the tree.

The guys in camera 2 have really been active.
They keep stretching their wings (maybe practicing to fly?)
