Though now that I think about it, you do duck and bob and weave pretty much like the girls skipping the rope. They get hit with the rope much less often than you do, though.
You are the devious one my dear.
You have changed "artificial life" to "new life forms" . The first is an oxymoron and the second is so trite as to be meaningless because every new life beginning might be said to be a new life form and you don't need biologists to produce those as any rabbit will tell you. Every sparrow hatching from the egg. and inside the egg, is a new life form unique in itself and not identical with any other sparrow except at a superficial level inimical to science.
Double-dutch is jargon and derives from double-talk which is talk that appears meaningful but is not. Your two posts are excellent examples.
You are right about one thing spendius -- "artificial life" is a misnomer, because artificial means man-made as opposed to nature-made, but man is just as much a part of nature as anything else, so man-creating an organism in a laboratory is just as artificial as man creating an organism through copulation.
Only if you are into shagging retorts, test tubes, cyclotrons and suchlike rather than women.
