DeeDee protects the 3volutionize society from hackers by using a secret code that only he can figure out. When logging into 3vo, Dee is given two numbers by the server, but to log on the third numebr must be given.

However, Dee forgot how to solve the numbers, and now needs your help!! ohmy.gif

DeeDee knows that...

1. The first two numbers relate to the third

Dee kept some examples and gave them to you...

When 4 and 5 came up 20 was the third number
When 1 and 9 came up 27 was the third number
When 8 and 9 came up 45 was the third number

You take this information and take it back to your desk...

Dee pm'ed you and said there are three codes for you to solve...

First: What is the third numebr when 7 and 3 are given?
Second: What is the third numebr when 2 and 2 are given?
Third: What is the third number when 0 and 6 are given?

Each line must do the same as the other line. I.E: #*# for Line 1 = #*# for other lines. Must be usable with examples, too. Please include HOW you did this.

So, the only thing that I can think of is:

Multiply the second number by the number of letters in name of the first number...?
So in the example, the word "one" has three letters, and if you multiply by 9, we have 27. Likewise, the word "eight" has five letters, and multiplying by 9 yields 45.

So, for the codes to solve:
First: if 7 and 3 are given (in that order), the third number should be 15.
[Since "seven" has five letters, and 5*3=15]
So, WLOG...
Second: 2, 2, 6
Third: 0, 6, 24

Is that the answer you were looking for?
