The Bible: book for life or book of contradictions?

Although I do enjoy the Bible for its moral values and ways to live a good life. I often ask myself why is there so many contradictions? I'll only name one for the sake of bandwidth.

Q: If Adam and Eve, Cain and Able were the only people on this planet at that specific time. After Cain slew Able and was marked to wonder the world so all the people could see his mark, then where did all the people come from? I have always wondered that. Question

Just as you said they had more kids AFTER the slaying.
So who was Cain banished to be tormented by?

Where does the bible say they didn't have more kids before the slaying, as well?

For those who would take the fable literally, note also that the bible rarely mentions daughters, and doesn't even say how long Adam and Eve were in the Garden.

I think it says that Cain is Adam & Eve's eldest son. That would kinda rule other any other boys....but maybe not girls?

The didn't have children IN the garden. Child-bearing was a punishment by god for eating from the tree.

I wouldn't know about that, I have none. Plenty of nieces and nephews.
Maybe thats why I don't concider them a punishment.

Sorry, the pain of childbearing.

I'm sure that before Eve's sin, passing a 8lb baby through the vagina was a pleasent/peaceful experience.

Yeah, well, with nieces and nephews and now, in my case, grandchildren, you can spoil them and send them home.

As you noted in your follow-up, this is false.
