I wouldn't doubt it.

Have you seen the wheelie sneakers the ten year olds wear? One moment they are walking, the next they are gliding along the sidewalk.

Just a short aside to remind everyone that Rachel Carson was born on May 27th and there may be some local celebrations of her life. If there aren't any, make sure that you get something going.

Osso started a thread on the unexpected death of Kawika Chetron, an underwater photographer. Here is a link to his photos--be sure to go to the thumbprints as well--he was a perfectionist and didn't include some of them in the display.

It is sensational work and the surprising thing is that his favorite spot was off the coast of California.

Heh.

I was reading this interview, with somebody.. somebody famous. But it mighta been a pop star or something.

ANyway, he was asked - is there anything you regret in life? Or what do you regret most?

And his answer was, goddamm I wish they had those wheelie sneakers back when I was a kid.

Word.

Lake Balaton nimh....pffft hahaha. You can perhaps find an old tire or a rusty washing machine or some disposed of agricultural equipment. But...life? Nah.

osso -- I like your new posting format. It's very stylish (and somewhat poetic -- seriously).

They sound like some alien tribe's language..

Umm, yeah. What he said! Razz

No, but .. yeah, the descriptions are delightful ("Take the primary regulator I'm using here (the thing in my mouth). It's plated with 100% pure unobtainium so it was really spendy.") And the photos, oh my.

Despite all the wondrously improbable sealife pictured, though, I still like the ones with the seal best. Those are cuuuute. (Description, too.)
