Hi Tuesday

15d is 9 letters, you have only nominated (8) and so is mac 11's answer.

I have the same word but not certain if the 9th letter is a "s". What do you think?

Hi Tuesday

Hold off with posting your entry, I'll make a few enquiries and research it a bit further, when I find something, I'll let you know.

Hi Tuesday

Must admit "Sharpen your wits" is harder than usual, still searching for 7a and 16a and 4d. Can you assist me here?

Hi Tuesday

Thank you for that, saves a lot of hard work. Still leaning towards 'velarizes' however waiting for conformation from overseas when they wake up!

Hi Tuesday

Had a reply from overseas: "Neither s nor d would seems suitable since the clue is given as an infinitive 'to...'. A linguistic expert is having a look for me now if there is in fact another word. Will get back to you when I have some more news. Gets interesting, doesn't? Smile

Hi Dutchy, have read the English threads, if what Roberta says is correct wouldn't that raise questions about 4d as well. Got a busy day today but when I have a minute I will see if I can come up with something else too.
I'm sure 18&23a are correct. Rolling Eyes

Hi Tuesday.
Are you talking about 4d 'warrener'?

What about 27a 'bunyip' and 29a 'esker' and 24d 'kobe' and 19d 'lochness', do you have the same answers here?
