Has anyone noticed that in America majority of the Christians/Muslims are minority. Is this because they feel lost and under privilege that they cling to this so call promises that is preached in the Christian/Islam doctrines.
I see that majority of African Americans in the south especially are taking this Christianity thing to heart without ever considering anything else. Its like they are completely blinded by this and will not listen to anything else.
huh?!
Perhaps you can make that clearer. I don't understand much of what you are trying to say.
what I meant to say is, that in the Southern States, I noticed that African American are really big in their Christian faith. Many of them I spoke with are so into it that they will not even think of listening to someone with an open mind like most of us here on this site. They think it is absolutely wrong to think that Christ is not the savior of mankind and that by not accepting him, we are all wrong for doing that.
I just think that African American are like that because of all they've been through in the last four centuries. They were taken from their home (African) and at this point they cannot go back. Clearly they are one of the minorities in this country. So I think that is why they cling onto Religion in that way. Its like a promise of hope I guess.
Disclaimer: I am not racist nor am I picking on African Americans. I have only observed that with them in the South and well maybe they are not the only ones who think that way and maybe I am wrong in my observations.
If these people are doing well with their lives, why is it worth even commenting on?

Profound! (Empahsis mine.)
I don't think that minorities flock to relgion for reasons of dignity.
I imagine it would have more to do with community influence etc.
