Estonian police has exploded its reputation on April 26-29 when it was mercilessly and cruelly dispersing Russian protesters against removal of the Bronze Soldier. Estonian special police forces had no mercy even on aged ones and women!
After these events the West told Estonia that such rude retaliations are unacceptable and.... offered to send there experts of the FBI and MI5 to teach Estonian policemen a thing or two. They proved to be teachable.
After the rapid training, Estonian police altered their tactics to crush Russian protest demonstrations in the bud. The thing is that Estonian police have a list available containing residential addresses of Russian war veterans and activists who were going to take part in protest rallies on May 9. Being dressed in plain clothes, Estonian policemen along with Latvian volunteers (they arrived from Latvia in multitude the day before to assist Estonian authorities in suppressing "rampant" Russians) stand in wait at the dwelling places of Russian war veterans and activists in order to prevent them from leaving their apartments, using threats and even physical menace. In case someone disobeys, he is copped out or knocked block off. They say, some 60 people have been detained and about 30 were taken to hospital in grave condition.
However, new work methods of Estonian police does not limit with this. It became known that Estonian police have establish headquarters where they are working out acts of provocation against Russian demonstrations. To crown this all, Estonian police officers were armed with air rifles and explosive cartridges. These arms are less-than-deadly but extremely painful and loud, so they are very convenient to use against demonstrators. Shame on Estonia! I used to consider this country to be a democratic one. Now I see I was wrong. Estonia is a tyranny
