You make it sound good, innie, and sometimes home schooling may be the only option. Remember, though, for some, home schooling is simply not an option. The dollar cost might not be too bad, but the costs in time have to seem unbearable. Don't forget that some parents are simply not qualified to teach.

What would you define as a qualified parent, then?
Because I know alot of parents that I can't stand or aren't good parents, and they teach their kids perfectly well.
my mum has four other kids to teach school and she still has time to help me out.
If you passed grade school you should be able to explain the concepts of grade school.
not to mention that the homeschooled TEENS I know don't really get taught that much by their parents, they mostly get workbooks and teach themsleves. or watch homeschooling videos.
