Walking by the Spirit

This topic is really a very close issue to my heart lately.

We all want to be "right" if that is what we are truly trying to project.

But when we walk we sometimes misstep.

When we think we sometime misunderstand.

When we believe sometime we are mislead.

When we are "wrong" then we have fallen out of the fellowship with the holy spirit of the one true God.

To be wrong is to demonstrate that we are out of step with the directives of our heavenly master.

The very first sin of man was this. To disobey the spirit and think autonomously outside of the spirits wise and all knowing council.

The law was only a guide us back to the spirit, back to total submission to the will and purpose of the most high God.

For in heaven there is total submission but on earth we have fallen from this place of obedience. Such to the point that God's names are all but lost and forgotten, we are now in danger of being damned by our own ignorance.

As we move closer to God we become more his servants. For how can autonomy and sin live in the heart of God? God is pure and God has no evil intent whatsoever.

Where is beauty? Where is harmony and unity? Where is the perfect world?

I desire this with all of my heart.

Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Ok, so you've got a passage here from the Bible. A very meaningful one to you as a christian obviously. Now an explanation as to the reason behind this post would be nice.

I see Abba is metioned in the next verse, is it a new song they are bringing out ?

Romans 8:15

15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Nah, unfortunately peace on earth is expected long before Abba reform.

Can "walking by the spirit" lead to a kind of insistence and false sense of confidence and security that can ultimately be misguided?

How do we know what the spirit tells us is coming from the "true" God? "Pride goeth before a fall..."

If we are just following the spirit than what of liberty? Liberty is still the choice to follow God or not... but how do we know that our conclusions are in alignment and harmony with God's will and word?

So many choices, who do we love and who do we hate? How do we know it is God sending the "revelation"?

1 Corinthians 14:32
And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

I was once told the word "abba" means "daddy" not so much father...

Abba denotes the most tender word of affection a son could use toward a father... to call God your daddy is being on friendly terms with our creator.

The Hebrew word "abba" was left in because they King James translators did not know how to translate it.

abba = daddy

Eph 4:14
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

How do we walk worthily down this road through life? Where do we bend our ear and to what wind of doctrine do we behave? How do "know" we are "right"?

We are trying to live uprightly but at the same time we are human and we make "mistakes".

So memorizing a set of rules and parameters with which to live by can only go as far as to set up a possibly superstitious errant diversion from reality. To become extravagant and eccentric by means of miscalculations and misconstrued anarchy.

Where the soul becomes divided within itself in the mind.

Where the volume of sound screeches such that the still small voice of the spirit becomes extinguished by the brilliance of the blare.

That the sensual self becomes so gluttonous and obese that it loses it's natural flexibility, fluidity of motion and mobility...

So how do we exercise the spirit? How do we learn it's voice and recognize it when we are in need of it's direction? What need do we have for rules and boundaries when the spirit can lead us in all manners and ways of life?

Exodus 31:3
And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
