Hi Everyone

Think I have had a brain freeze and just can't get a few answers.

1a Nomadic person, I have ?R?E?ER, with 3d Petrified remains as ENTRAILS.

Also 21a, Festive Mulled wine, I have ?A?T?ID with 2d as REAMS
with 28aWW11 sonar as ASDIC.

Also, 118a Mafioso (Mafia), I have ??SEGU?, with 119d Empty headed
as SCATTY and 120dRide quickly as Gallop and 106d as Tofu.

Can anyone help me please, my head is just spinning and can anyone help? Think I am so weary that I will have to get some sleep and come
back again tomorrow and have another go.

Have had the hard drive down on my computer twice in the last two weeks
so am running a bit behine.

Best regards to everyone, Dutchy, Lezzles, Tuesday, Mrs Green, Catgirl,
Willywagtail and everyone else that I have forgotten in my tired state. I
am slowly getting over my operation 5 months ago but still have pain that the doctor can't find so I just get on with life and go to work each day and come home too exhausted to do crosswords so I am running behind in all of my books.

Warmest regards
Tigiie
sorry, can't remember everyone in my tired state

Hi

I have been able to answer a few of my questions.

1a is DRIFTER
3d is FOSSILS
21a is WASSAIL

But 118 Mafioso ??SEGU? still eludes me
and 105d Large Yacht , I have ?A?? - could be anything since I can't
work out 118a
with 110 WW!! ITALY BEACHHEAD as ANZIO

Also, 52d remarkable thing, I have APP?E?I?PLY

Can you please help, only started the Demon today and they are
the only ones I have left to do?

Thanks
Tigiie

Hi Everyone

Still looking for an answers for

118a Mafioso, I have ??SE GU?
with 94d Caress with nose as NUZZLE
and 119d Empty-headed as SCATTY

I have been able to solve the rest,
I think I have looked up every internet
site on the Mafia, perhaps the ??SE should
be COSA, it is eluding me though.

Can someone please put me out of my
misery?

Hi Dutchy

I hope you had a good holiday and I
haven't been on the internet for a few
weeks looking for answers although I
constantly go in and see what is listed.

I have put a ticket in for access to PM's
although I just can't answer you that
way at this present time.

You are a blessing in disguise. Not
to mention everyone else in the Forum
who are always there to assist when needed.

Warmest regards

Tigiie

Hi Tuesday

Of course MAXI is a large yacht, it has come up
before but I have forgotten. Many thanks for that.

I am at the moment, doing the Colossus and Holiday
Crossword and just have the one word for Mafioso
in THE DEMON to find and complete THE GOLIATHON
in THE BIG.

THE BIG is my favourite book as THE DEMON is so
good, see, I just have that one last word to get and
then I am finished.

Warmest wishes
Tigiie

Lezzles and all
I have not had time to scratch lately.
But WISE GUY is what you are looking for with 118a for Mafioso.

Heading off Wed for the Easter break, so will try and look back in here before we go, and try and help out with any that might be stuck.
I have completed all mine as I knew I would not get any time over the next week or so.

Good luck all.

Lovatts have 79a. incorrect. The 2nd hardest jewel in existance is actually moissanite... a diamond is 10, and moissanite is 9.25 Confused
Do we win anything for picking up on their mistakes and lack of knowledge Laughing

Hi mrsgreen663

They do have the "Gremlins" not sure if they reward you
for finding them but they do list them in THE BIG.

Good on you finding it. Just think how much checking
goes on at Lovatts!

Hi mrsgreen663

Have only just started my latest Lovatts books due to being away for a couple of weeks.

Demon is far from complete, however the following answers may help, perhaps someone will verify.

85a= bilge
139a= lechery
115d= pyrrhic

For 97d I have "edicts", however "enacts" is also acceptable.

Jo, do you use the site one across? Im pretty sure most of those answers could have been found on there.
I would wait for someone to verify before you write these down lol.
Oh, and dont worry, most of my posts have that many in it too, although I usually get stuck on the easiest rather than the hardest Shocked
Gl with your enrty.

Hi jo

Almost agree with all of mrsgreen's submissions. I feel she is incorrect with 82d for trenchant, I suggest the answer here is "POINTED".
86a = "flagon"

I'm still looking for 36d - Japanese noodleS - UDON is for noodle (singular) but Lovatts asks for the plural, maybe there is another word?

Hope this helps
Dutchy.

If you go buy a pack of them, it will say Udon, not udons.. and theres more than one. I would assume that its the answer anyway, it fits, lol.
THey ask for japanese noodleS, a pack will say udon noodleS.
Thanks for correcting me... I didnt check that one, but it was what the search engine had given me Confused Teaches me for being lazy, lol.
