I thought it would be great to have some links and available information for those who might wish to visit, or just browse around.
Ill be doing the same for some of the other regions, if you have a suggestion, please add your thoughts!

Ah, my folks spent part of their honeymoon (in '56) in the Smokies. And, my sorority has a crafts school there (see www.pibetaphi.org and look up the Settlement School). :-D

I've never visited the Smokey Mountains, but my brother has. When his son got married in North Carolina, he took me to Chimney Rock Park, and I was enthralled. c.i.

thanks for stoppin in here guys and adding some input on the Smokies. Ive driven through and had overnights here and there but, not had the pleasure of spending any quality time myself but, it would be one place Id like to try, and thinking of the climate along with the scenery, Id probably want to stay for a bit.

Seems Chimney Rock is quite an interesting part of the Blue Ridge area of the Smokies-1000 acre park, national historic site, etc etc

Chimney Rock Park is definitely worth a visit. They also filmed The Last of the Mohegans at the park. That fight scene on the cliff is where my neice climbed over to the side, and it scared the be-jesus out of me! Wink c.i.
