Does that one page have any significant information, Walter?

Can you give us an English translation?

No, this page doesn't contain any significant information. It's a document by another judge, ruling that the judge who wrote the controversial opinion was biased.

Thanks, Thomas. The document is related to another part of the news story:

Quote:
A court in the western city of Frankfurt on Wednesday upheld a complaint of bias against the judge lodged by the lawyer of the 26-year-old woman, who has two children.

It appears the Judge searched the [Man made] German law, and came to the conclusion that no fair judgement (decision) can be made from it, simply because it is an imperfect, human law.

The only Perfect Law is Allah's. [Allah is the Arabic word for God]

Now let's analyze the verse she referred to:
"As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly)". [The Qur'an 4:34]

If a woman is disloyal to her husband, the Holy Qur'an solves the issue as follows:

- Step 1: First try to resolve verbally with talks and warn your wife.
- Step 2: If still your wife does not obey you under Islamic Laws then leave her alone in the bedroom and don't share the bed with her for a period of time (some scholars say: 3 nights).
- Step 3: Final step is to beat her very lightly indeed (avoid the face). This is a rare and extreme case in an Islamic environment. In fact, the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best amongst you [Muslim Men] will never beat [their wives]".

I am very happy indeed that the German Judge used [her understanding of] the Qur'an to solve the issue. The only way to establish justice on earth is to obey God's laws, to implement the teachings of the Noble Qur'an, to follow the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him).

Muslim1-And what does the Koran say if a husband is disloyal to his wife?

If the disloyalty of the husband is proved, the wife can get a divorce from an Islamic Court. The husband will then be punished or freed according to the degree of his ill-conduct.

and Allah knows best.
