I deleted my avatar to upload a new one; unfortunately, I can't seem to make it happen. I selected one from the offerings here, clicked submit, and nothing shows up. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. There's a problem with the avatar gallery. Send a note to the Help Desk, be very specific about the avatar you want (e. g. it's in the animals section, a cat, first from the left in the third row or whatever) and we'll see what we can do.
