What about all the immigrant jocks who live in England? Will we be able to kick them out to stop them sponging off us?

Here's my silver trophy for topping the Rugged Defense ladder mate, it stands about 10 inches tall and stands on the table in the middle of my living room, carefully positioned so that it'll be the first thing visitors notice, especially when it catches the rays of the late afternoon sun and becomes a main talking point for the rest of the evening as I keep steering the conversation towards it.
My opponents range in age from 19 to 75 and are from all walks of life including military men..Smile

If the second guy had played as much matches as Romeo Fabulist did, he would be way ahead.
Probably a much better strategist than RF

Which part of this don't you understand muchacho?- 1st PoorOldSpike
And even if other players tried to play as many games as me, that's no guarantee they'd actually WIN them!
My playing rate is so high that if others tried to keep up they'd crack under the pressure, so they usually sit on whatever score they've racked up so far, rather than push their luck by playing more games.
We holy men don't do "sit on score"..Smile

Cue truckload of fan comments-
Geordie-"As a player POS is top notch and his file return rate is amongst the best I have encountered..his tactics work"
RocketMan- "POS is great guy to learn tank tactics from with unsurpassed file return times (it is like he is an AI or something with him returning files any time of the night or day).."
MrBadExample- "POS is excellent player, good guy and gets turns out quickly! Highly reccomended .."
Enigma- "POS is great tactician, superb return rate and some really wonderful comments with them too. Well worth playing! Also a great teacher in helping you improve your own gameplay and a really good playtester.."
Fredrock- "POS is interesting Tactician, good player, really great Banter,got to give him a try.."
British Tommy- "POS is a very good tactical player, well worth playing against.."
Von Schwendemann- "POS is excellent player with an outstanding return rate. If you haven't played him you are missing out. Have fun.."
Neubaufahrzeug- "Played twice in mirror mode against POS and he is a fair, competent and fast player. CM is living with such guys - let´s go on.."
Koen- "POS I must admit that you're crazy and something's totally wrong with you but you're honest and straight to the point.."
Mad Russian- "To give POS his due, he does good CM support..Every single time POS and I have played each other he is a grand opponent. His return rate is better than ANYBODY's!!!"
Hirr Leto- "POS is a good commander, and does what he does well"
Lord Bane quote- "I have been playing the game for many years but have learned quite a bit about the game by reading your fantastic tactical posts."
The Coil- "POS is great when you want to understand the mechanics of the game"
Wardog- "POS you are a tough little ****** to play against"
Gunter Severloh- "Spike is the best of us I would think for screenshots"

PoorOldSpike in action: my Tiger crushes a Russian AT-gun and crew under its tracks. Why waste shells when you might as well squash them?..Wink

@Romeo Fabulini,
That's not true, the only reason you're top of the list is because you've played more games than anyone else. Nothing to do with skill, and everything to do not having a life.

@izzythepush,
But mate, computer gaming is MEGA-HUGE, everybody does it!
I hope you're not some kind of religious cultist who thinks it's evil, the same sort who tried to ban rock n' roll in the 50's because they thought that was evil too..Smile

@Romeo Fabulini,
Nobody's played that game as much as you.

For years now I have experimented with time travel just so I can go back to the 1950s and unsuccessfully try to ban rock & roll. That's the dream.

I'm not the religious nutjob around here.

Not even that.

Look at the number of games played.

and the number of games lost

That's not a Bible quote mate, it's just a cooked-up thing used by parents, teachers and society to bully people into being good little hard-working citizens!
Jesus's cousin John was a young world-rejecter living rough in the middle of nowhere eating wild food and dressed in near-rags, sometimes going in town to yell insults at the snooty priests and corrupt rulers.
Jesus's verdict on him? -
"John is the greatest man ever to be born" (Matt 11:11)

Wow, the guy in this Twilight Zone episode did go back in time to 50's America and met the young unknown Elvis Presley..Smile
SPOILER********
He accidentally kills Elvis, but a singer named Elvis Presley DOES go on to became a famous star, showing that even if a time-traveller to the past does something drastic, HISTORY CANNOT BE CHANGED!

@Romeo Fabulini,
We're very lucky to have had The Twilight Zone to establish such an important scientific fact. Who would have thought it was real?

"Cradle of Darkness" is another interesting time-travel episode; a woman is sent back in time to get a job as nanny in the Hitler household so that she can kill the newborn Adolf and thereby prevent the rise of Nazism and WW2.
SPOILER*********
She kills him, but an Adolf Hitler still grows up, showing again that HISTORY CANNOT BE CHANGED, no matter what a time traveller may do!

@Romeo Fabulini,
What you fail to understand is these are fiction, they don't prove anything. Ray Bradbury's A Sound Of Thunder and Bruce Sterling's Mozart In Mirrorshades suggest the opposite.

You gotta be jivin us boys!
Google 'military simulators' and a whole bunch of stuff will come up like this below. Real life soldiers, sailors, submariners, tank drivers, heli and plane crews etc all have to learn the basics on the simulator before being let anywhere near the real thing.
And check the pic at bottom left, that's how the brass operate nowadays, sat at computer screens in the HQ bunker issuing orders like "go here...go there...kill....don't kill" in exactly the same way I order my troops around on the cyber battlefield, I'm kewl..Smile

One of the oldest and most popular wargames around is chess, that's because all real men have got warrior genes dating back to prehistoric times when you had to be tough to survive..Smile

Sorry to hear about Bob Crow.

Quote:
General secretary of the Rail Maritime and Transport union Bob Crow has died.

The 52-year-old is believed to have suffered a heart attack and died early on Tuesday morning.

London Mayor Boris Johnson, with whom he clashed over plans for the Tube, said: "I am shocked. Bob Crow was a fighter and a man of character."

Labour leader Ed Miliband said Mr Crow had been "a major figure in the Labour movement and was loved and deeply respected by his members".
