Who's walking down the streets of the city, smiling at everybody she meets, everyone knows it's Windy...
Do you remember that song? Who was it by? What year?
Calling McT!

Jesus Christ Smorgy, of all the gin joints in all the world you had to walk into mine.
Where the hellya been, girl?
I had a bereavement...
Sorry I havn't been around - It just happens like that sometimes...

Here ya go, smorgs:
Who's peekin' out from
Under a stairway
Callin' a name
That's lighter than air?
Who's bendin' down to
Give me a rainbow?
Everyone knows it's Windy.
Who's trippin' down the
Streets of the city
Smilin' at
Everybody she sees?
Who's reachin' out to
Capture a moment?
Everyone knows it's Windy.
And Windy has stormy eyes
That flash at the sound of lies
And Windy has wings to fly
Above the clouds.
Above the clouds.
And Windy has stormy eyes
That flash at the sound of lies
And Windy has wings to fly
Above the clouds.
Above the clouds.
Who's trippin' down the
Streets of the city
Smilin' at
Everybody she sees?
Who's reachin' out to
Capture a moment?
Everyone knows it's Windy.
Who's trippin' down the
Streets of the city
Smilin' at

Who's reachin' out to

Everyone knows it's Windy.
Who's trippin' down the

I, myself, had a recent bereavement involving that very song.
Luscious Lips Letty, you are the most adorable lady amongst all of these pages. Thank you for your presence on The Brit thread.

Christ Mac, what next a bloody fanfare and confetti from the roof tops?

I'm going into Manchester today, for 1. car service and handbrake repair- I broke it 2. MoT 3. haircut 4. curry with CB
So that's exiting, isn't it?
How did you break it?
CB?
x
smorgs, the group was called the Association and they had a checkered past. I didn't pay much attention to their background. I simply liked the lyrics and the melody. It has a special significance for me now, however.
Mathos, Thank you.

Yes Mac, he does indeed look a fool.
Good to have you back La Smorgs.
Let's kill the fatted calf, all wear union jacks, sing the national anthem and burn Spendi on a big bonfire.

I broke it by yanking on it too hard. I just don't know my own strength.
CB is my dear old friend from Wigan, who eats and drinks a lot.
Hello fellow Britons
I'm afraid I have come to rant!
I was in Pizza Hut tonight with some friends, and one of them (a really blunt rude one.) Voiced her opinion that she thought it was harsh that I am getting funded to go to university to do music because apparently it's not a subject that is important.
Well, understandably I was upset by this. Since you are all tax payers, can I ask what do you think?
I think university education should be for the elite only (less than 5%, not more than 25% of the population), and should be free.
But I believe that is a minority view.
I think, Queenie, that you should be allowed to do anything you can get away with.
I think (as a tax payer) that you should have gone to Pizza Express.

Well, my dad went bankrupt a couple of years back. I have to pay for my bass, singing and piano lessons from a paper round I do. Any music trips I have been on (national youth choir, Worcester, Venice, Rome etc.) Have been either saved up for by me, or paid for by a charity.
Next year I will get my tuition fees payed for me, and that is all, apart from a £1000 exellence bursary.
At the moment I pay for everything I want from teaching piano pupils.
What really hacked me off, was my friends parents atm are lounging around doing nothing going on lots of holidays before they move to a new shop. My dad is working crap ours in a factory he hates for a pittance.
I think I agree with McTag. Too many people go to university and it is a waste. The girl who said that to me got DDE for her a levels and went to plymouth. Is there any point? Is a degree like that even worth it anyway? I got full marks for my A levels, so surely it is worth me going to university more than her?
I am in such a stress.
