If she's any sense it will be one with no work, soft beds and loungers, plenty of goodies like choc chocs and dry Martinis and fawning men.

Rubens painted a few. And the colour supplements show the position being acted out by models in every issue.

The question asked what she "wanted". Not what she might expect or need.

You might try to avoid labelling people Steve with the wanderings of your own imagination. It's rather self-defeating.

In that case spendius, would you like to sponsor me to lie on a sofa and eat chocolates for a summer? I think about £300 a week sounds good.

I want a job in bournemouth. In anyones opinion, what sucks the most: waitressing, retail work, or office work?
Maybe I could get a relatively good office job with my qualifications?

Well take no notice of Spendi was the clue PQ! Still you know better than to take notice of the blithering idiot!

I take it your after holiday work from Uni?

If so, you have already mentioned the majority of easy come jobs, you could also consider being a cashier at one of the many petrol station/convenience stores!

Or better still, get yourself a cheap lawnmower and go bob-a-jobbing it door to door £10..00 a time, you could knock out at least ten a day there's a ton a day cash in hand! You'd only need to work 3 days for your £300..00 and Spendipussy could back you up for the other two days or three if you would have been willing to do six days a week! He could pay you £50..00 daily for giving out stupid advice and you can pay me 20% of your gross takings,: Hows that for a deal?

Gee- I bet Queenie never thought of that. It just shows what you can learn on Able 2 Know.

Some bike competition here now. English Brompton is marvellous but German Kettler is a proper bike.

So, O Stephen of the four wheels, how will you decide, on any given day, for any given circumstance, which saddle to mount?

Is one for best?

Is one for wet weather, one for dry?

Is one for when you have to give someone a ride on the crossbar, the other for solo excursions?

I think we should be told.

What a coarse and curmudgeonly type you are to be sure, Spendy.

My mother used to say, if you can't say anything nice, then you shouldn't say anything at all.

Shocked

Brompton for shops trains and pubs. Kettler for serious touring. Like riding to Yorkshire, finding some one called Spendy and giving him a kick up the backside. Very Happy

Dorothy, are you still around? On Saturday I think it was, in The Guardian there was an article about Prince, the little musical chap.

I saw there that he has recorded a song called "The Ballad of Dorothy Parker" (Joni Mitchell)- I never knew that before, not being a big pop fan and being very old- and I just wondered....

I know you are a Prince fan, you told us. Is that where your soubriquet came from?

Sure is Mac!

Not read Saturday's guardian yet, I'll dig it out.

IMO, most sucky job would be in retail PQ. It involves the public, having to be nice to the public, trying to persuade the public to buy stuff and in most cases, standing on your feet all day.

Get an office job if it's just for the interim, at least you can make personal calls and piss about on the internet while you pretend to be busy.

Thanks Mathos. That should help drive the price down. £300 a week was a bit arrogant I thought.
