Never mind that. It's trivial.

All this unnecessary government protection you seem to be in favour of, Fatty, is bound to make us all timid, and insecure, and anxious, and unadventurous, and dumbed down and dependent on authority. And those features inevitably lead to failure when competing with countries where governments are more honest and, in individual cases, immune systems being weakened en masse.

You could be talking about the effects of all these pleasures you condemn, now you have gone all puritan, on weak immune systems and not on the normal ones inherited from evolution.

And all those things create weak immune systems, which suits the medical profession and other "treatment" centres handsomely. And it suits the government to have a timid, insecure, anxious, unadventurous, stupid, half dead, hard working bunch of goodie-goodies to manage.

A nation that enforces strict bans on these magical substances is going down the tube in my opinion. But, of course, the Government knows this so the bans are mainly job creation schemes as they all need supervising like cocaine is supervised in the hot spots of finance and showbiz.

I don't know anything that the Government doesn't know except, seemingly, that if you allow women anywhere near power the game is up.

And I'm not saying that because I'm an emceepig. I think it is a fact of life and, as such, the ladies have more interest in it being recognised than I ever had or will have. There were no fashions and labour saving devices and beauty products during the 2 million long history of the matriarchy. Those thing only appeared when men took charge.

I wish it were otherwise.

And I well understand that those who have copped out the farthest on this matter will use words, and safety-net dangers, and bombastic assertions to assert their masculinity. I would if I was in their position.

Hitch your star to 11 millionaire sandwich-board men all you like. I see it as a betting medium, like raindrops down a window pane, and no, I did not back Wigan. I had it figured that the FA wanted Man U to win for money reasons and that a bias existed which was too difficult to fathom at 5 gets you 1. Emile Heskey is the sort of bloke who can forget the deals if he gets a sniff on goal and I didn't fancy risking it at that price.

I'm backing Chelsea in Moscow though and it won't be with fifty pence. I don't bet when there's nothing to lose. That's cop-out misery. It's like birth control. No downside.

You know sometimes Spendy I think you are just plain wrong, and other times you really hit the nail on the thumb.

ps with Drogba and Terry doubtful, and chelsea in psychological turmoil after yesterday, you can probably get 2/1 for them to win in Moscow. But even at 8/11 on Utd look cheap. Smile pps Do you live anywhere near Blubberhouses?

And Man U had the ref playing for them. It should have been 1-0 Wigan before it was 1-0 Man U and then it was a different game. And 1-0 Man U was iffy to say the least and 1-0 Wigan was a sure thing.

Well if you're excused seat belts due to some kind of health problem, that's a different matter altogether.

It's no good moaning and groaning about what might have been, be it on the soccer field or in life.

Losers needing to accept the end result is all that matters. Not what occurs or didn't occur during the intervening moments.

They are merely instances or events for the propaganda machine and insignificants to belly on about during the sport comments on the back end of the television programmes or the sports news in the back end of the newspapers.

Full time. Wigan 0 - Man U 2.

Balance Sheet Before Tax Profit £2,700,000...00.

Thats all we are concerned with Spendi.

Your drivelling nuances are, irrelevant, insignificant and rather boring to be honest with you.

I thought the broad frame of other members comments towards your childish and somewhat ridiculous levels of posting on the Science and Mathematics threads alone would have taught you that by now.

Still, it entertains the members with nothing better to do than look for a giggle here and there I rather suppose.

Well, Mathos, Spendi's posts are not devoid of interest, especially on the ID thread.

It's really amazing how he provokes reactions to his posts there and how people can be easily trapped, especially if they don't have an European mindset.

Spendi doesn't give a damn about religion in itself but does have some idea about the social consequences of it.

Notwithstanding, Americans think he is an IDer at heart.

How funny is that?

Francis, anything and everything connected to Spendi is funny. It's hilarious in fact.

He should be awarded an A2K Oscar for entertainment value on these pages.

I must think up a name in due course and see if I have a cup worthy for his presentation.

{It's nice to see you as well Francis, I am just completing a little office work during my mid-morning break, hence my irregular appearance on these pages at this somewhat peculiar hour}

Au revoir.

Just going back to women in power for a moment.

I know it's only a straw in the wind but look how they have deserted this thread. Doesn't that suggest that they only co-operate when they are getting their own way. As soon as a serious challenge appears they either snort (get a life or a similar inanity) or run off sulking.

What use is that?

Fatty's posts are very similar. Suggesting I don't wear seat belts because I have a health problem is a self-reassuring inanity.

I can't even comment objectively on the football without false conclusions being jumped to. Ferdinand used his arm to stop a goal. Wigan had a stitched on penalty. The penalty Utd got was very iffy. Scholes should have been sent off and the ref gave Utd 4 free-kicks within Ronaldo's range and none of them were much justified. Utd had 12 men. The second goal was due to Wigan going upfield to try to equalise.

In what way is any of that disputable? I was glad Utd won because they play more attractive football than Chelsea and are better ambassadors for the game and I much prefer a NW team to win than a London team. Didn't I back Liverpool? Chelsea are too brutal for my liking.

And it was Wigan scoring in stoppage time at Stamford Bridge that handed Utd the title.

How can a conclusion be reached that I'm a bad loser from any of that?

You can tell who reads the works of real men and who reads the soft furnishing catalogues.

I bet Aubron Waugh and Ernest Hemingway never wore seat belts either.

Do you fancy a little bull fighting? the costumes are gorgeous, or should that be gorged-eous?

I admire you striking a mark for the libertarian spirit Spend, but unfortunately not wearing a seat belt is not much of a blow for freedom.

I fell off my bike (again) yesterday. I wasnt wearing a seat belt.

I was contemplating the meaning of Pentacost when I decided to kiss the ground with immediate effect. I blame God.

Living in a Christian country, I'm enjoying a wonderful Pentecost Monday ... and not supposed to be in America before Wednesday, 18:49 local time.

You know its amazing really. I've been past the church in High Laver so many times and only just learnt its the burial place of one of the most important philosophers in history...making the tiny village one of the intellectual centres of the enlightenment

John Locke is buried there

Yes Embarrassed And I'm not very happy about it. It was hot. I took my helmet off in anticipation of stopping and having a drink (of water), stuffed it in the front pannier, and went over a bump just as I was stopping, and it started to jump out, so I caught it and prevented said helmet from doing any damage to itself just too late to unclip my feet...and down I went. On the same knee I bashed 10 days ago. Fortunately my mate behind had a tissue to soak up the blood, and 10 miles later I was able to replenish lost red fluids with a couple of pints of amber...Fosters lager. I'm ok just feeling very annoyed for letting it happen.

Spendius, I've not been on A2K for a while (which is my loss) and I come back to your same petulance. Perhaps the ladies have deserted this thread because they're bored with it and far too busy living their life.

Steve, sorry to hear about your accident. Maybe wear knee pads in future. I've never thought about it but do bike riders get breathalized?
