Did you read the story before you went to bed, or what? I thought it was very funny.

I really put it up here for Steve, as I know he has a fine sense of humour.
And he knows where Chelsea play their home matches. Somewhere in London, I believe.

I don't like motorboats on lakes either. Put them in disused docks, or out at sea where hopefully they might drown their occupants.

Wow, theres a side of McTAg that snuck up on me. Hes a raving anti-motorboatist.

Well- there's no Denman in today's race and I'm pretty stumped. I would have gone with Mr Pointment but for the broken blood vessel in its last race and it's bucketing down so it's over to Comply or Die more in hope than confidence.

I've been a few times to Aintree but the sofa is the best place to see it from. Cups of tea are only 2p there, at most. As long as you stick to one-baggers I mean. Which you should at this time of day. And you can guarantee the producer will give you a good blimp of all the best lookers from the neck down.

Good luck if you've backed Comply and all the worst if you've backed something else. If you haven't had a bet you're off topic.

If you don't bet on the National you're not really a Brit.

That was nice eh? spendi might not know which way up he is but he's a decent judge of horseflesh.

I think that 7 winners out of 8 A2K tips from the ID-iot-in-Chief. And the other only got beat a nose.

Well would you believe it, 'Black Apalachi' was mine and it went arse over tit very early on. The wife backed 'Bewleys Berry, because she liked the name, and it came in 5th I think. Embarrassed

I had a few quid on Trev's two favs but they didn't do the business either.

Still what a good bit of fun before, during and after!

We can all listen to your ramblings from here to the ID thread and laugh!

It's hysterical, far better than listening to Chubby Brown.

BTW- The horse that Denman beat was odds on. The Champion Hurdle winner (Katchit--like your posts Fatty) was 10 to 1.

What do you mean I only give favs. Hedgehunter wasn't fav either. Neither was Kris Kin.

You only ever give out duff gen. Go and do some exercises and reduce that lard.

Are you in the betting for the weightlifting championship at the nursing home?

I've seen guys who could throw you and all your kit over into the next field.

Mathos's idea of a lovely evening is lying on a bed of nails with a fat lady in high heels jumping up and down on his chest.

Unforseen accidents notwithstanding I cannot miss having a pleasant evening. I've got pleasant evenings off to a fine art. I don't go for lovely evenings. You have to try so hard to find one and that takes more than the shine off it.

Such things happen out of the blue.

My choice was the grey which came in second at 20-1. I chose it just before the off but didn't put money on, natch.
It had a very good round, made up a lot in the final furlongs.

Comply or Die was going right away in the last fifty yards. Another mile to run it would have won by half of it.

I feel all inspired. I've been watching a video, again, of Bob Dylan perform that masterpiece Just Like Tom Thumb Blues at the Hyde Park charity do.

Unfortunately it's in two parts. Music made without a thought for fortune or fame. One objective only and that's to please Mozart's spirit and show it what it could have done with electricity.

Here are the lyrics for those interested. It is essential to know what is being sung. And if you ever wondered what "the vacuum of his eyes" looks like he gives a glimpse of it to Ronnie Wood near the end.

Quote:
When you're lost in the rain in Juarez
And it's Eastertime too
And your gravity fails
And negativity don't pull you through
Don't put on any airs
When you're down on Rue Morgue Avenue
They got some hungry women there
And they really make a mess outa you

Now if you see Saint Annie
Please tell her thanks a lot
I cannot move
My fingers are all in a knot
I don't have the strength
To get up and take another shot
And my best friend, my doctor
Won't even say what it is I've got

Sweet Melinda
The peasants call her the goddess of gloom
She speaks good English
And she invites you up into her room
And you're so kind
And careful not to go to her too soon
And she takes your voice
And leaves you howling at the moon

Up on Housing Project Hill
It's either fortune or fame
You must pick up one or the other
Though neither of them are to be what they claim
If you're lookin' to get silly
You better go back to from where you came
Because the cops don't need you
And man they expect the same

Now all the authorities
They just stand around and boast
How they blackmailed the sergeant-at-arms
Into leaving his post
And picking up Angel who
Just arrived here from the coast
Who looked so fine at first
But left looking just like a ghost

I started out on burgundy
But soon hit the harder stuff
Everybody said they'd stand behind me
When the game got rough
But the joke was on me
There was nobody even there to call my bluff
I'm going back to New York City
I do believe I've had enough

The boast/coast/ghost verse is instrumental. Gives you a chance to practice your singing.

Webpage Title Part 1

Part 2

If it inspires me it might inspire someone else. If it doesn't inspire anybody don't bother informing me. I've heard it all before.

Amir Khan did well tonight, again.

The Dane, Martin Kristjansen was an excellent opponent, brilliant boxer who never dropped his hands. It took Amir until round seven to get through to him RSF in 7th. Micky Vann was not on the ball tonight, poor refereeing in my book, he should have been in the middle there and stopped it earlier.

Boxers normally get hurt when refs are slow off the mark and Micky was tonight, I didn't like that!

One or two more contests for Amir before he fights for a world title though in my opinion.

The lad is very good, I have known Amir since he was 13 years of age. He has always been an outstanding boxer, as an amateur he was very good indeed.

The club I assist as assistant coach has the only two amateur boxers who have beaten Amir and he has never reveresed the decisions.

About five years ago, maybe six I can't remember and I'm not looking it up right now.

I assisted a few England ABA coaches in N Wales with a good few lads from the north of England. Giving them a holiday, boxing training and an insight into life beyond the city so to speak.

One of my grandsons was in the group and so was a very young but very capable Amir Khan.

I first saw him box in 2002 in Bamber Bridge Lancashire.

Well done son.
