Did you see ATOM on BBC4 which proved absolutely, with not a shred of doubt, that we are all completely barmy including the experts who have proved us to be.

Yes, especially in the light of:

I wonder how Smorgs is getting on.

We don't got Smorgs, we don't got a show.

There's a lot of programmes on at the moment about pop music and light entertainment and dance.
I'm interested in all of that, songwriting, production. Even the dancing girls.

Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, though. Imagine rhyming frightening with lightning and Galilleo with Figaro. These lyrics are crass as well as being nonsensical.
But they made a lot of money.

Did anyone see the documentary of Paul McCartney's band touring the States in about 2002 I think, or Queen in Rio, Brazil?

Entertaining, especially the one of the McCartney tour, I thought.
And, I enjoyed the programme about Fleetwood Mac's Rumours album which was on last night.

I love stuff like that too McT. I watched something last night think it was Pop Brittania about 60's pop - Don Arden being a twat and lots of amusing dancing. Fascinating stuff. I would have like to have seen the one about the Fleetwood Mac album, I love them.

It was a very good documentary of quality musicians.
Some of the songs which I recognised, I didn't even know were by Fleetwood Mac....like Yesterday's Gone.
There are evidently large gaps in my knowledge.

John McVie's a helluva bass player and the harmony singing was great.

Got into an argument with a british bloke at BP today. Filled up my car and walked to the till to pay <he was waiting in his car behind me> - the till had some problems in swiping my card so it took just a wee longer - this bloke comes marching in and tells me that I am inconsiderate not to move my car before coming in to pay - little realising that the pumps do not allow you to move yr car before you have paid.....rude bastard.

Probably could not stomach the fact that I was driving a much better car than his Twisted Evil

Talking of interesting people, I went for a bike ride on Sunday and was invited on a trip round India leaving 9th Feb.

I was riding alongside the organiser of the trip. 9 or 10 people taking bikes to (a poor province in) India for

Its not a holiday, you have to raise £1500 minimum sponsorship in UK and pay about £800 flights and accommodation. As they go from village to village they dole out the cash, so cutting out the corrupt middle men and local "government". Local people show what they've done with the money like medical equipment, new clinics and basic health care. I couldnt quite believe all this as she rode away from me uphill. Ms J is about 60 and has her own health problems which she refuses to give into. Its her 11th trip to India. 3 to Madagascar, 1 to Brazil. She also sports the biggest solitaire diamond ring I've ever seen and was up at 4 in the morning preparing roast sunday dinner for 9 before she went out for her 35 mile bike ride.

I thought I'd done pretty well just getting to the Silver Ball cafe and back.

No, sadly not.

I hope though, that she is recuperating well, and look forward to my next contact with the dear lady.

My advice Steve is to ride around country lanes on your own or get one of those music players with earphones.
