Yes it is true (writes Mctag after coming back on foot from the shops with bread, milk and the paper)

Some apartment blocks in Germany (or Austria) had a rule that men had to sit down to pee because urine splashes were rotting the fittings, or something. I saw that in the paper last year.

Morning, McTag. Reading through, I note that the legend in her own lunchtime, Nigella, has finished her awful run on TV , so that gave me a reason to be cheerful.

Speaking of which..

Reasons to be cheerful, Part three (one, two three)

Summer, Buddy Holly, the working folly
Good golly Miss Molly and boats
Hammersmith Palais, the Bolshoi Ballet
Jump back in the alley and nanny goats

18-wheeler Scammels, Domenecker camels
All other mammals plus equal votes
Seeing Piccadilly, Fanny Smith and Willy
Being rather silly, and porridge oats

A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome, we can spare it - yellow socks
Too short to be haughty, too nutty to be naughty
Going on 40 - no electric shocks

The juice of the carrot, the smile of the parrot
A little drop of claret - anything that rocks
Elvis and Scotty, days when I ain't spotty,
Sitting on the potty - curing smallpox

Reading up on Spendy, Young'uns being trendy
Holding something bendy - Railway clocks
Milly Molly Mandy, things that come in handy
Legs that aren't too bandy and windswept locks

Nigella in her twee pose, pronouncing jalla peanose
Dandy, Mad and Beanos - biscuits that you dunk
Smorgy in the kitchen, Halloweeners witchin'
Sunburn when it's itchin'- Soul and Funk

McTaggy eating curry, dressing in a hurry
Mints that come from Murray - Mathos on his bike
Anyone called Hermann, Walter who is German
Watching Ethel Merman - anything you like.

Scott and Virgil Tracey, thrillers that are pacey
Feeling something lacey - Corn beef hash
Fishy eggs and blinis, tiny string bikinis
Bottles that have genies - sausages and mash.

Reasons to be cheerful, Part 3.

Why don't you get back into bed
Why don't you get back into bed..

Hey that's good, doowop. Respect.

First time I saw it, I didn't realise that some of it was home-made.

Embarrassed

Doowop in the duvet, doing something groovy
Didn't your mother tell you it'll make you blind
Nailing up the rafters, corned beef hash for afters
Helps a lot around here if you've lost your mind

Anything about his message?

I hate quizzes. They direct the mind onto the self rather than the subject.

People are dead chuffed with themselves when they know that Einstein discovered the relativity principle but they haven't a clue what he meant and they give themselves a pat on the back for knowing that Shakespeare wrote The Merry Wives of Windsor despite never having read a word of it.

They are not even aware how cleverly they are being manipulated by the manner the list of questions is constructed. It's a bit like the pools where everybody gets 19 or 20 points and thinks they are getting close.

Somebody told me in the pub that he had seen Mr Palin interview a lady in a "porcelain" manufacturing plant in Germany. It seems there's a trend in Germany for men to sit down to do pee-pee.

Is that right Walt?

Weeks turn into years
How quick they pass
And all those stars
That never were
Are parking cars and pumping gas

Seems to me there are a lot of folk on here with very little to do of late!

I'm struggling to find enough hours in the day and you lot are fornicating. It's terrible.

Had to do some work outside from 7.30am until 1.30pm. Then drove to Manchester, business in Wythenshawe, (would you believe it) Baguley, Sale, and Altrincham. Kingsway was the only bit of clear road I came across. Then to Stockport Wellington Road South like a bloody car park. Then Cheadle. Then back home. Oh stopped at the 'Old Watergate' on motorway Leigh/Atherton. Totally refurbished as a 'Toby Carvery'

Very nice opening deal £5..00 for all you can eat as a first course. The turkey and ham were delicious. The wife had beef and turkey, splendid. All local veg and it was cooked, presented and served in an outstanding friendly manner.

You don't come across such good service so often nowadays. Most jerks serving the public remind me of Spendi!

Missed my bike ride and a gym session. I'd better make up for that tomorrow!

Mathos's had a bootlicked,kowtowed, fawning truckle
A brownose apple polish up and flattering under knuckle
Pampered like a Pompadour
Soaped from arse to tit
He waits now upon his throne
For it all to turn to ****.

I know a man who repaired the stained glass windows in Gorton Monastery and his mum works in Higher Hillgate.

Funnily enough I drove down Bramhall Lane yesterday, and turned left onto the A6 as per Walter's map, but there was no diversion on and no holdup. I wonder what the reason for Google's diversion was? That is a very minor road.

They probably have a franchise going to direct you towards the shops which pay them most.
