You should take up cricket in the summer Walt.

You might learn that injustice is something to take on the chin with a stiff upper lip.

That's right, spendy!

I said that's life, and as funny as it may seem
Some people get their kicks,
Stompin' on a dream
But I don't let it, let it get me down,
'Cause this fine ol' world it keeps spinning around

I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate,
A poet, a pawn and a king.
I've been up and down and over and out
And I know one thing:
Each time I find myself, flat on my face,
I pick myself up and get back in the race.

Mornin' all.

Now, y'all know I'm not one to moan...

But the new bog seat isn't comfy for anything other than a quick wee, if you get my drift...

I can no longer get through a whole paper, just the headlines. Otherwise my arse looks like it's been 'mysteroned'. Those of you of a certain age will know what I mean, if you ever watched Captain Scarlet.

Don't the Brits get up late?

LET'S BE HAVING YOU!

(I come over all Delia then)

(and she's a born again Catholic, and she wears an 'Our Lady' ring, I've noticed it when she's been kneading)

Some of us have tasks...Thursday is bin day, papers, bottles. Have you got any idea how much Mrs McTag drinks? ??

That bog seem a retrograde step, Smorgsie. I only hope you don't get The Observer on Sundays.

To the tune of Ellusive Butterfly (Bob Lind)

You might wake up some mornin'
To NO sound of something moving past your window in the wind
And if you're quick enough to rise
You'll catch a fleeting glimpse of someone's Council work van (reversing)
Out on the new horizon
You may see the floating motion of a distant pair of plumbers
And if the sleep has left your ears
You might hear shouting, swearing and loud stereos

Don't be concerned, they will not come to you
Even though they had promised to finsh your bog off
Across my dreams with nets of wonder
I chase the shite elusive workman from the Council

You might have heard my footsteps
Echo loudly in the unfinished bog they left behind
I might have even called the Council
As I ran searching after something to believe in
You might have seen me runnin'
Through the long-abandoned ruins of the bathroom left behind
If you remember something there
That ancient bath and a lovely sink to brush your teeth in

Don't be concerned, it will not harm you
It's only me pursuing a bath to wash my tits in
Across my dreams with nets of wonder
I chase the shite elusive workman from the Council

I thank you.

What can I say? I'm bored, they promised to be here at 8.00a.m.
This would never happen in Germany.

Feel bad for murdering such a lovely song...

Here's the original:

But you boys can still do the chorus! Altogether now...

Don't be concerned
They will not come to you
It's only smorgs pursuing a bath to wash her tits in...

Awwww.

Did you hear about the workman from Manchester Direct Works who was sent to court for kicking a tortoise to death?

In his defence, he said, "That thing had been following me around all day!"

Would ya believe the day I'm having...

JUST managed to get out of the house to go shopping/library and I had an effing flat tyre!

The nice man from the RAC came round to change it for me - lest I break a nail. In record time too. Got me to fill out a customer response questionnaire on a little electronic thing, with a metal tappy thingy for the screen. I gave him 'better than expected' for everything.

Off t'ut shops!

No hide nor hair of maffos has been seen since Sven's boys' result on Sunday. They're probably still plying him with smelling salts in the nursing home......

For the first time Britons' personal debt exceeds Britain's GDP = Britons have racked up so much debt on loans and credit cards that the total borrowed now exceeds the entire value of the economy.

Have a nice weekend all - either with someone else's money or just boosting the economy
