Dead could be another one, I think, Andrew. (Though there might be classes in paradise or hell as well.)

as one of our teachers used to say :

"education is wasted on you lot !
it's like casting pearls before the swine !"

he was , however , our favourite teacher and never gave up on us !
so , for him there was no end in education - and we agreed - perhaps not immediately - that there was always something new to learn .
... and there still is no end in education for me .

Given that learning is - or at least should be - an ongoing process, while definitionally there may be no end IN education, the end OF education, education's ultimate purpose, education's primary, foundational, functional goal, is achievement of the realization that there must be no end TO education; if learning were to stop, sapience would stop.

Not I. Like you (probably) I looked at it because it was headed "history." What the question has to do with history is quite beyond me.

for your information, education connects to history coz it is one of our subjects in school. And since history means a record of events, education relates to it coz how can we write a history if we don't have education, or specifically, knowledge about recording or writing?
pahabol: there are lessons in history that tackles about things which people have learned, like their contribution to the civilization. education is learning by means of a teacher......................................

..................well, for me, I have two answers in my question. first, education won't end if there will still be humans walking on earth. And second, education will end when the judgement day comes(based on the bible)................. Very Happy

I think he means "parable"

perhaps he's Spanish decent.

I also thought parable, simply because nothing else made sense. However, parable doesn't work in context--so either he doesn't really know what parable means, or his ability to express his ideas in English is very, very poor.

Go easy, folks. This is obviously a young 'un wondering why he's being given so much history homework, and whether it will ever stop.

..........Ha ha ha ha
.................. I'm sorry if I confused you on my words. Well, pahabol is not the same as the word parable, coz i know what's that word(examples of that are stories that Jesus told to his disciples). Pahabol is like, when you write something a letter and you forgot some parts of it, you put a "P. S."
before the sentences. Pahabol means P.S. in english letters.
........ ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
............well, some of your opinions are correct. In fact I'm 15 years old...
......Too young to make bondings with you.
........ But I'm trying coz i need to grow up now. One year to go and I will graduate in high school.(I live here in phil. only four years a student will take in high school)

OK, I think I understand a little better now!

PAHABOL, is like "and one more thing" in the Phillipino language! Right?

Well, don't be intimidated by your age. You don't have to bond with
us old guys, but you will definitely be able to learn something!

And if Gus comes around, you can even learn to appreciate a certain type of unique humor! Smile
