I do hope she enjoyed that!
Ravishing critter!
Enjoyed a tummy rub? Miss Lacey? Her nick name is 'The Flopper'.....if she's near a human, she will flop over on her back to beg for a tummy rub. She's not very graceful flopping on beds or chairs though.....has a tendency to fall because she turns to mush having her belly rubbed.
That's my cat. Complete mush.
Poor Vivien! Just go get two homeless kitties. You know you want them.....

Yes, Vivien, & think of how virtuous you'll feel, creating a good home for these lost critters.
Best of luck with your test tomorrow, babs. I will remember to think good thoughts for you!
My sister graduated from UF and worked at Shands for four years.
You'll be in good hands there.
Let us know what happens, please!
OH HI RAE!!!!! I didn't realize that you were online!!!
Lucky me!!!!!Thanks so MUCH for the kind words and all
the encouragement. I have heard so many many good
things about Shands in Gainesville also. I know that if the
surgery must be done, I will be in FAR BETTER & SAFER
hands there! I sure will keep you updated on what is
going on.
Lucky you? Lucky me! Thank you for making me smile today! Will be waiting for updates.....
Still waiting for the update from babs.....
Just finished telling Mom my Lacey story of the day.....
Mom gave me this whatdoyacallitthingymabob to stick on my computer ~ it's a pen holder for two pens. While checking the online classifieds today, Lacey jumped on the desk between me and the keyboard, as is her habit. She eventually fixed her attention on the pens in the holder, proceeded to knock one out from rubbing on it with her cheek. Soon as the pen hit the desk she turned around and looked right at me. All I could think to say was 'thank you'.....and I swear to you, Lacey smiled. You could've knocked me over with a feather.....
I'm thinkin that you shouldn't wait for hubby to come around, Vivien.....Just come home one day with two little ball of fur, held in the palms of your hand.....He'll be like butter!
Who could say no to a new little kitty?
 good idea!
My daughter is going to speak to her friend who knows someone who works at the RSPCA (refuge) .... we'll have to see! maybe i could drag him round the pens next week while he is off work?????
Yes! That sounds like a plan! Just don't tell him where you're going.
Or ya could just go get the kitties yourself and bring them home.....
I'm first in line to be a godhuman to the new members of your family!
I know I've mentioned this story somewhere before.....
My dog, Maggie, was a Mother's Day gift to myself thirteen years ago. Her mother was a cocker-spaniel and her father a dachshund (Maggie was black as the ace of spades) ~ her parents belonged to a coworker who would not take 'no' for an answer!
I didn't confer with my ex about bringing Maggie home. She was delivered to me (while ex was at work) at only 5 and 1/2 weeks old, but she'd been weaned. She fit in one hand.
When hubby came home, I told him I had a surprise. My son helped his Dad sit on the couch and put his two little hands over his Dad's eyes.
When he was allowed to open his eyes, Maggie was there. And I swear, the man fell in love instantly.
Maggie is still the perpetual puppy. The ex has custody of her. She is pampered and loved and guards her home ferociously. (Even though she'd probably lick a burgular to death.....) I keep doggie treats in my glove box for when I visit and Maggie usually can hear my car coming a block away ~ because I can hear her barking about then!
Gosh, I can ramble. Need to make sure that's put on my gravestone.
I'd sue his sorry ass all the way to malpractice hell for something like that!!!
Happy to hear that you're in good ahnds in Gainesville, though! :-)
Love to hear that Jettie and Snickers are getting along so well, they'll help you cope and make your day less boring!
hugs, stefan
