There are three snakes, and at the same time each snake bites one of the other snakes tails, and begins eating what is left?

I'm thinking they keep going because they wait til they swallow their food whole so they never bite and just get tired so 3 snakes left over

There are a few variables missing from this equation, the two important factors are size (as Cicerone pointed out) and the speed at which it eats.

It takes your average snake 50 hours to digest one frog, by the way.

Assuming that the snakes are all different sizes, also assuming that the largest snake eats the fastest, the largest snake will have devoured both of the others, and a good bit of itself.

I imagine the one remaining visible snake would die from indigestion before it eats it's own head.

I think you all are thinking too hard. It's not about the snakes. FORGET ABOUT THE SNAKES! I think it's a circle.

Okay, I will forget the snakes. Take them out, they are gone. Now what?
There is nothing to answer then.
I just felt the need to do that. Nothing personal. Your answer is as good as most of the others.
