Liar vs. Truth = Which way?
8. A traveler comes to a fork in the road and does not know which way to go to reach his destination. There are two men at the fork, one of whom always lies while the other always tells the truth. The traveler doesn't know which is which. He may ask one of the men only one question to find his way. What is his question and which man does he ask.
Ok, let's say I am the traveller.
I come to the fork in the road and I meet 2 men. And according to the story, one lies and one tells the truth.
I am allowed to ask one question only. To only one man.
It doesn't matter which man you walk up to.
I go up to one of the men. Let's name him Bob. And his friend can be Paul.
I ask Bob, "If I ask Paul to point to the correct way.. which way would he point to?"
Now that is the answer to the riddle. It doesn't matter whom you ask.
