I wrote a PM on A2K to another member, where I was discussing a doctor.
I referred to him as a "s p e c i a l i s t". When I previewed the PM, the word "s p e c i a l i s t" was replaced by AUTO SPAM FILTER.
Now is that ridiculous, or is that ridiculous????
I have adjusted the spam filter. The word it is catching is a word we are seeing in spam all the time and no, it's not the word "specialisation", it is the word after the spe and before the ation.
We get an enormous amount of spam, and it can often be tough to stem the tide. If you see things like this, it's usually because we're trying something like this out (because we're trying to handle some of this on a more automatic basis) -- and we goofed. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
We also got a ticket on the Help Desk about it, it was probably grabbing the word specialist there. Bottom line: if a word is being filtered and it doesn't make any sense to you why it was filtered, take a look at the word -- the part being filtered is probably somewhere in the middle of what you posted. And, if you have questions, the Help Desk is the place to go.
