Hi Tigiie and Dutchy, hope this doesn't get printed twice. I sent it and got a message saying that I couldn't connect. error. When I got the page back my letter had disappeared.
I don't have an 89D but 89A is 'engine covering' which I think is cowling. 90D is the star. White Dwarf is a very strange name for a star. Anyway, it all fits now so many thanks for your help.

I use the site "OneLook Dictionary Search" to get answers that
I don't know, hit the REVERSE DICTIONARY, and it gives you
a lot of answers, everything that is in their dictionary relating
to that word. Have a go using "very dense star" and you will
see "WHITE DWARF" as one of the answers (second on the list).
Sometimes I can't find the answer there and try elsewhere. I
like this site though as you can put more than just one word
in eg water wheel with buckets - NORIA. This one has
troubled me in my early Lovatt crossword days when I couldn't
find the answer but I wasn't aware of this search tool at that time.

I then have to ask on able2know.com when I just can't go
any further.

I also have had problems getting onto the able2know site at times
and am not sure if my reply has gone through. I usually to into
"Trivia and Word Games" and check if it is in there under the
subject. I could not get into this site earlier this morning but
it seems ok now.

Thats great Tigiie. I have put the one look dictionary into favourites now.
Will look into it later as I still have a few knotty clues to sort out. Such a bust time of year.

so I learn something every day (especially about puzzles
and crosswords).

I go CLUEWORDS and FINDAWORDS today, do you
get "THE LOT"?

One Look Dictionary
Hi Tigiie, have looked into the one look dictionary. It's really good. Thanks for telling me about it.
I only get BIG, Colossus and Cryptic. I sometimes buy the holiday collection. Don't care for cluedo, and I must be the one person in the country who hates Sudoku. Depending on delivery, sometimes I am swamped with puzzles and other times have nothing. Think I will sign up for 'the works'

I had to change my email address and tried to get to profile to change descriptions and enter my location but can't get it. Should I just join again?

Glad you like OneLook Dictionary, I just stumbled on it one day
but it does just about everything.

You can change your password in Profile at the top of the page,
it says to give your new password, should be ok.

I am actually selling my house/land in Sydney in the next six
months (I hope) and going to live down the far NSW south
coast so I will need to change my e-mail address to Optus
as that is what is available there, my unwired is only available
in the cities.

I purchase the LOT but I haven't finished a cryptic yet. I also
hate Cluedo and Sudoku but love everything else. My first STARHUNT
without clues took me forever to do but now they are easy and I love
them. I also get swamped so I just put them in the order of when I
need to send my entry form in and I have at times not been able to
finish because I don't have enough time. When I get a book in the
mail, I can't leave it, I go in and put my name in straight away and
then have a quick go at one of the puzzles.

Anyway, have a go at the profile, I have 172 posts, I am looking forward to becoming an enthusiast, I have a long way to catch up to Dutchy.

When you have 500 postings up you can send pm's. I have the e-mail addresses of four other 'cruciverbalists' who do the Lovatts puzzles and we exchange queries that way.

My tally is high because I do a lot of other postings on the threads.

I kept getting asked to log in all the time and I know have lost

I told you all I'm not very good with Computers and have to rely on

Hi all, mainly Dutchy,
just wondering where the black stump is. Myself, I hail from Mt Isa. Now we are down in sunny Victoria. hiccup! pardon.
Does anyone do the rest of the crosswords when you've finished the comp puzzles? I don't, they seem to lose zest.
When do I grow up and stop being a newby? If it relies on writing in, well I don't write in very often so it could take a long time.
