Hi willy

Have settled for "punctuated", based on the following dictionary entry:
intersperse -- (place at intervals in or among; ``intersperse exclamation marks in the text'' )

Maybe someone else will verify.

Regards Dutchy

Hi willywagtail and Dutchy

I confirm the answer for 13a as PUNCTUATED.

Good luck in the competition.

13 a Interspersed, this is interesting.. Punctuated or Penetrated.

One Across cross word dictionary gives 5 stars to Penetrated and 1 star for Punctuated.

Could this be one that both answers will be accepted? I will checking this one out when the results are published.

Did you read the definitions it gives for both though? I use one across and majority of the time they are in the incorrect order, if it gives the answer at all.

Willywagtail,

13 across: interspersed

This is interesting, I see you have 12 replies.

One Across Crossword Dictionary gives 5 stars to Penetrated and only 1 star to Punctuated.

Could this be one where both answers will be accepted? I will be checking the answer when the results are published.

Another good site for answers is Onelook Dictionary search.

I usually just go with Reverse Dictionary mostly and it
usually throws up the word I want. You can also unscramble
words and use it when you have only part of a word.

I've got a map site, a latin site, collective stuff, etc.

Has anyone else got any other interesting site to go to?

Best regards

I still think that the answer is PUNCTUATED but I
think you are right that both may be accepted.

"Quick definitions (intersperse)
verb: place at intervals in or among (Example: "Intersperse exclamation marks ina the text")
verb: introduce one's writing or speech with certain expressions"

I think the worst puzzle I have done this time round was the STINKER
in the Collossus 108.
