Anyone able to help me identify the name of this plant? I thought it might be of the spathiphyllum variety but haven't been able to find anything on the internet so far that looks similar.

Looks like a Clerodendrum speciosissimum.

Call it a hunch.

Actually, I think it might be a Roter Haus-Betrieb

Getting closer with Gus' suggestion. Blossoms don't quite match, but the leaves and plant shape are very similar. I'll see what it's relatives look like.

Shewolf, can you check the name you said? Google doesn't recognize it.

It might be a clerodendrum paniculatum (in the Verbenaceae family), commonly known as a pagoda flower. But I'm still having trouble with the blossom. The one in the photo I gave earlier seems to grow along a cylindrical spike. I'm not sure if the blossoms eventually open up to look star shaped or remain closed. The examples in this picture below don't show the blossom spike as tightly packed together as the ones in the original picture. I'm trying to get more info from the person asking for help with identifying it.

Well, I found a nice little site, but can't answer some basic questions, such as, what color is it? is that salmon or pale pink...
when does it bloom?

Do you have a good local nursery that sells perennials, butrflynet? (just guessing it's perennial).

Here's a link - http://www.perennials.com/

I was sent two more photos of the plant.

The close up of the blossom shows the tip opening in the star like shape.
I'm wondering if the spike of blossoms becomes less dense as the blossom matures and does look more like the pagoda plant pictured earlier.

This next one is a closer view of the leaves.

Have another mysterious plant I need help in identifying.

It was purchased from a nursery (no name provided) and grows as a vine in a sunny garden in Karachi. So far, we've investigated the nightshade family, a type of star jasmine and the Campanula/bellflower family without luck.

Any ideas? The unopened blossoms are reminiscent of fuschia blossoms, but I haven't found anything similar to it in the fuschia family either.
