Carl says: I didn't finish in fifth place.
Ivon says: Peter finished in third place.
Peter says: Carl finished after John.
Steve says: John finished in second place.
John says: Steve did not win.
The two persons who finished first and second place lied
The others told the truth.
Who finished first?

They finished in this order:

Ivon came in first (the liar)
Steve came in second (the liar)
Since they both lied Ivon and Steve were disqualified so John came in first (That part I made up since liars should not win).
