Went to Seattle the other day and check out the Dead Sea Scrolls. Pretty old stuff.

Anyone else check them out. (This might be an old topic since I didn't go to the opening of the scrolls Smile )

I haven't heard them. Would I know any of their songs? If it's "old stuff" from Seattle, it's gonna be grunge, right?

Funny... I just picked up the flyer for the Dead Sea Scrolls yestserday and realized they'll only be in town for a few more days. Friends went to the Detroit exhibit of the scrolls and said they could "feel" the ancient-ness of them. Did you notice this? Very Happy

I saw the DiVinci notebooks a couple of years ago in Seattle and was sort of unimpressed. The museum lights were kept so low that I was distracted by the dark. I didn't get to really look at them. If the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed like that, I'd prefer to give them a pass.

Definently felt some ancient/cultural authenticity in the air.

Yep, lights are kept pretty low and actually are timed to go on and off to help preserve the artifacts and such. It is all necessary, but yeah it does it turn it into a waiting game to see most of them. Well, if you're rude and pushy you could seem them all pretty fast.

Guess I'll try to work it into my schedule... I think they close on Sunday... yep, last day is the 7th.
