what creature wakes up with 4 leg and by the afternoon has 2 legs and by the evening the creature has 3 legs
A crocodile. He wakes up with his own 4. Then he eats 2 of them, leaving him with 2. Then, later on, he regurgitates one back up, I'm not sure why, giving him the 2 attached and the one he spit back up = 3.
No, that's not the correct answer, but this riddle is so old I felt myself aging just reading it.
The answer is a human, of course. 4 legs = baby, 2 legs = adult, 3 legs = old man with cane.
