The planning and realization of the "Oriental Garden" involved a German-Arab co-production. The complete design comes from the hand of architect Kamel Louafi, who was born in Algeria and now lives in Berlin. German companies were in charge of basic construction, engineering the waterworks, paving and plantings.

I'll check that out, Detano. The idea reminds me though of a Peace garden designed for, I think, Beirut - Lebanon, anyway - by Kathryn Gustafson, a landscape architect of some renown. I can't remember if I actually posted a thread on that or just meant to.

Wow.

I was going to joke, "Don't Eat the Daisies", after the old book/play, but I suppose the daisies won't be radioactive. (My science background is something of a sieve re understanding).
