We are shifting to sydney in january. What is the basis for admission into a private high school or a selective school. Entrance test or Merit in previous examinations. i want to get admitted into high school(11th).
Also what r the fee structures for both forms? When's the last date for application.
Raj the questions you are asking differ with each school.
In any case it may be better to select a school with a good reputation close to your new home.
I suggest you google private schools sydney and correspond with each.
To get into a selective (state, i.e., not private) high school there is an examination, about half way through the previous year. Or you could try moving into their catchment area - but this is not guaranteed.
Entry to private high schools is not so simple.
Some have exams; some use prior assessment; Some might not like the cut of your jib. All of them have one requirement - a heap of money.
Take dadpad's advice - contact those schools in which you are interested. Geography may be a factor - whereabouts in Sydney are you planning to live?
