Going to Gold Coast for Christmas!

I'm going to Gold Coast for Christmas with some friends! Is anyone here living in Gold Coast? Do they have any special events for Christmas night? I'm going there on 24th, staying there for Christmas Eve and coming back to Brisbane on 25th! I would really appreciate any suggestions what I should do to enjoy my time there! It's ideal if you guys do smt fun for Christmas, I'm happy to join! ^^ Thanks in advanced! ^^
