My daughter would like a digital camera for Christmas. I'm also ready to change my cell phone provider which will allow me to get both girls camera phones as part of the bundle. I have no experience with either digital cameras or camera phones. Also, the girls are 14 and 16 so I don't want to sink a lot of money into expensive camera(s).
Thoughts?
I'd say a phone w/camera capability oughtta be a decent 2-birds-w/1 stone solution for kids not specifically into the photographic craft as a passion - provided you make sure to get whatever is necessary (usually a proprietary cable) to transfer the photos from the phone to a computer or other accessible storage device.
